How to Obtain your Radio Code for Honda Vehicles

I am going to keep this short, sweet and to the point.  If you have lost your radio code for your Honda vehicle there is a way to retrieve that code to make your radio work again.  The only way is to contact ANY Honda dealer by phone or by going to one.  There is no magic code or any website that you can get it off of.  The code is radio serial number specific.  VIDEO BELOW!

Most Honda dealers will provide the code for free.  The only thing that they will need is your radio serial number.  By pressing a series of numbers on your radio, it will provide your serial number on the screen so that you do not have to remove the radio to find it.  And I will tell you how below.

If you have to replace your battery or you had to replace the fuse it will require the radio code to unlock the radio.  Do not worry.  If your local dealer charges for this service just keep calling around.  One that I know provides this service for free is Jenkins and Wynne Honda in Clarksville, TN (I had to use them).  Call their service department at (931) 542-4860.  They will do this service over the phone.  All you have to do is provide them your radio serial number (usually 10 digit).  I just had to do this on my 2005 Honda Pilot.

(UPDATE:  You can retrieve your code here as well: https://radio-navicode.honda.com/

To obtain your radio serial number:

1. Turn your vehicle on (start it or place it on ACC).
2. Turn your RADIO OFF.
3. Press and hold preset buttons 1 and 6 (at the same time).
4. Turn on your radio while HOLDING buttons 1 and 6.
5. Release the 1 and 6 buttons when you see your serial number. (ex. U1111 L1111)

After providing that information to the service department they will give you your 5 digit CODE.

Type in your code using the preset buttons and your radio will unlock.  Done!  I hope this has helped you retrieve you Honda radio code!
