Samsung Blu-ray BD-J5700 WiFi and Internet Connection Fix
After months of trying to fix two Samsung Blu-ray players, model: BD-J5700/za, I have finally been able to fix the problem permanently. I tried all of the fixes that I had found on cnet.com and Samsung's support website and nothing worked. My kids received these players as a gift for Christmas from their grandmother and worked for about 6 months until Samsung sent out a firmware update that wreaked havoc on the WiFi. On to the fix.
Step 1: Perform a hard reset on the player.
- Remove any disc's from the disc tray.
- Hold the eject button until you see "Resetting all settings to default values"
- The player should restart.

Step 2: Change your routers WiFi settings.
- I found that it was easier to just setup a guest account on the 2.4Ghz band rather than reset or change the settings for all of my other devices, which could cause them not to work.
- Enable guest access and pick a network name (SSID).
- Security: WPA/WPA Personal
Version: WPA-PSK
Encryption: TKIP - Setup a password.
- Note: All routers are different, so providing steps on how to do so would be a mute point.
Step 3: Setup your player on the newly created guest account.
Step 4: Perform a network test on your player, it should connect to the internet now.
Step 5: Sit back and relax!

STEP 2 is the main fix for this issue. You may be able to fix the issues without resetting your player. If you want, try step 2 first and see if that works with no reset. Leave a comment below and let me know.
